BCAF2015 featured book, March: Book Two won the 2016 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award for Best Reality-Based Work at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday night. The comic industry’s “Oscar Award,” the second installment of the March book series won against a significant group of nominees including, The Arab of the Future: A Childhood in the Middle East,
1978–1984, by Riad Sattouf, Displacement: A Travelogue, by Lucy Knisley, Hip Hop Family Tree, Book 3: 1983–1984, by Ed Piskor, Invisible Ink: My Mother’s Secret Love Affair with a Famous Cartoonist, by Bill Griffith, and The Story of My Tits, by Jennifer Hayden.
March: Book Two was launched at BCAF2015 with its first hard copy sales. Andrew Aydin signed copies and participated in a featured panel discussion entitled From Selma to Ferguson during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebrations in San Francisco.
